Many naps since I last wrote...

But I have been very busy.
Since my last entry I have:
• defeated the furry creature that invaded my home
• rode in the blue box to visit the bad place with needles
• showing my fierceness to the feathered creatures outside my glass box

Today there was an empty bowl... I walked the people to the bowl, but they would not fill it. I am persistant... I wait, I demand, I am fulfilled.

I will nap again, on my tiny rug, on my back... that will just be nice.

I have returned

I am back. I know that I have been greatly missed, but there have been many things I've had to do.

I was relocated. It was very stressful at first, a very long time in the blue cage. Then I was let out in a strange place. After many days spent in the bathtub I began to explore: MANY PLACES TO NAP ! There are also many places to look out the window. AND many feathered creatures for me to scare !

I was very happy in my new home... then another change, a NEW PERSON. This one is different, he's bigger (though I can still pin him down when I lay on his chest) He pays even MORE attention to me AND will fill my bowl. So he may stay.

I must go eat now... I see people food on the coffee table.

Then I will sit on the subwoofer... because I can.

I am fierce.
I run the house, this is well known... but allow me to share situations that exemplify this fact:

1- Person comes home VERY LATE last night, during the break between my first two night-naps. She does not fill the bowl (which had not been filled since that morning) but I pity her b/c obviously she has also missed some naps. So I let it go. Till an hour later... THEN I am sure to wake her up by attempting to french braid her hair with my claws. She does not appreciate my gesture of beauty enhancement, yet none-the-less fills my bowl.

2- There are little boxes of silver discs that sit on this metal rack-like creature near the big noise/picture box. It seems so orderly, so plain. I come up with a re-decoration plan: spread the boxes and discs all over the blue/white rug. It was FABULOUS! Color, modern, eclectic, Tom would be proud. Yet, my person cannot appreciate good art and stacks them again. This is a game we play for two days, then she moves them to a cardboard box instead. Now I usually am amused by cardboard boxes but this one does not amuse me. It saddens me... my art is dead.

That reminds me... why are there all these boxes around? Hmmm....

What is this madness?

Two days, TWO DAYS my person leaves me. And although it would APPEAR that there was sufficient food in bowl, it wasn't in the FRONT of the bowl. What is this madness? Does she expect me to put my head in the whole bowl to find the food. Alas, this morning when she was still absent from the home... I went for it... I delved into the WHOLE bowl to finish the food.

The nerve, she shows up, w/ the smell of another cat on her person. Then IGNORES ME !! Something about "shower" and "sun" and "aloe". I care not of these things. I sang the song of desire LOUDLY from my bowl. Until finally it was filled.

Then nap on my person... must get MY SMELL back on her. She must never leave me like that again.

They have been visiting sporadically but now they are back in full bloom, my FEATHERED FRIENDS ARE HERE!

This morning they woke me up even before my person's annoying beeping box (that must be destroyed w/ my fierce paw). They called to me, they said come to the door, see our new feathers! And so I did, and I showed them how much I've grown this winter... and they were afraid.

But they will be back, they think they can resist me, they cannot.

They were put on this earth for my enjoyment.

I am fierce.

Must nap... long day.

I am bitter

My person talked to that funny little ringing machine this morning, REALLY early... then went back to sleep. I don't care about that, but THEN, about 2 hours later when there SHOULD have been food in my bowl---NO FOOD! I go to here and tell her over and over and over again... and still NO FOOD!

I was not pleased.

I went to the dresser and knocked all the bottles off the top... one at a time to see if she would notice. I'm very patient. ONE, DO YOU HEAR ME THERE'S NO FOOD.
TWO-- DO YOU HEAR ME THERE'S NO FOOD
THREE-- DO YOU HEAR ME THERE'S NO FOOD

UGH

Finally, at 9:30 (I looked) FINALLY there was food. This is not acceptable. I COULD STARVE !!

This bitterness has made me tired, I must nap.

Strange...

Strange events the past 2 days. My person has been here SO MUCH ! I'm so happy! I can sleep on her all day, much better to have warm body under one for napping. Greatly increased quality of napping.

A few days back there was a stranger here... has been here before. Is ok, but takes up too much space, rolls over on me. Not increasing quality of napping.

oh, and I must report a strange disturbance on my balcony. There is much white powdery stuff. I've seen it before and I don't like it because it keeps all the feathered animals away. WHO WILL I HUNT? I am fierce. I must chase the feathered animals as soon as they return.

So, I must nap. You can't be too dedicated.

New Year's Resolutions

In 2004, I resolve to be the best cat I can be, therefore I resolve to:

Eat more

Sleep more

Sleep in a more varied amount of places, I hope to try some new spots where I am not immediately seen so as to startle my person

Be more vocal with the feathered creatures that visit my window, REALLY let them know my presence

Wake my person up by 4:30 a.m. so as to allow plenty of time for the filling of my bowl

NOT fall down into bathtub when yelling at my person for showering when my bowl has not been filled

not miss my sandbox... I must remember that my entire backside must be IN the box, not BESIDE the box

spend more quality time cuddling with my person so she doesn't leave so much

My person fills my bowl with the hard crumbly chunks. I will eat them, for they are food, and I love food. But WHERE is my creamy chicken goodness? Slices smothered in a rich cream sauce or the shredded morsels of salmon, smelling amazing...with a hint of metal from the can... so good.... so good.

I keep hearing the word "diet" and something about being "20 pounds".

Yesterday I had a whole can of Turkey Fancy Feast!! Some strange ritual my person does about once a year... before she left me AGAIN of course... but I don' care when I have good food in my bowl.

Strange person here yesterday... will pet my head (lucky for him or he gets hand scratched) but my person paid more attention to him than to me!! I quickly solved this by jumping on his chest and not jumping off till after several minutes of solid petting time.

This morning there were tons of the feather animals outside my door. They were chirping all over the place, like they were going on a trip or something. They come close to my door, I scare them off my balcony. I am very scary.

I am so tired now... I must nap.
